Also called "Mountain Pies" in other regions, they are easy to cook over the campfire or fire pit and are fun for the entire family. Made from solid cast iron with dependable chrome plated steel & wood handles. To use simply place two pieces of buttered bread in the clam shell style compartment and stuff with preserves, cheese & meat, pie filling etc... Close the lid and toast over the fire until done.
The cooking surface is 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" with an overall length of 28" to keep you a comfortable distance from the fire and includes a list of recipes to get you going, but hundreds more can be found online.
